  • Paintbrush
  • Towels

  • Plastic spoon

Process

  • You will need to turn off the fountain pump. And any standing water need to be dipped out using a cup.
  • Then you need to dry the fountain. Use a towel and give it a day to completely disappear from the concrete.
  • You will need to clean the repaired areas with a brush. This will remove small particles of broken concrete from the area.
  • Later remove the concrete dust from the area. You can do this by using stiff-bristle brush. This should be done carefully. In case you find it hard, do not hesitate to consult professionals for water fountain services to ensure complete removal of dust.
  • You will then need to squirt the two tubes of concrete epoxy on a paper plate. One of the tubes usually contains a hardener and the other a bonding agent.
  • You will then need a plastic spoon to mix the two products thoroughly until the patching agent achieves a consistent color.
  • Force the epoxy to the cracks. This way, you will fill the cracks to the surface level. Then using a plastic trowel, level up the surface.
  • Using enough quantity of epoxy, apply it on the figurine and areas fitting on the fountain. Using one hand, hold the figurine in place. Then place one end, the loose one, on the center of the figurine and wrap it around the fountain. You should make at least one such revolution.
  • Allow the epoxy to dry for a whole day. After drying, remove the tape.
  • Apply a concrete sealer on the fountain. This sealer will play a huge role in protecting the fountain from ultraviolet rays and seals off the surface thereby preventing it from absorbing water.
  • The sealant should be allowed to dry for a whole day before you decide to turn on the fountain water pump.
